Feeding practices at Dog City help dogs feel calm & in control

"Her last stay there was about five days long, and I don't know what happened, but Barley has been completely amazing ever since. She is on a better routine, and she has even become more secure eating her food; she used to scarf it down so fast and now she takes her time. We cannot thank you enough for all your caring attention!"
~Anna, Dog City customer

Nana Will of A Dog’s Eye View and Dog City's Deb Holvey just hosted the seventh Beyond the Leash seminar teaching the science and art of working with dogs in a group situation. (If you want to learn why dogs do what they do – and what to do to have them do what you would like – join us for the next seminar in October.) One of the topics covered in the seminar is how to make the most of feeding time.

Because we work with big groups of dogs, we are always on the lookout for opportunities to establish individual relationships with the dogs. One of our best opportunities is feeding time, while the dogs are in their individual bedrooms. By the way, this only works with dogs who are food motivated... and fortunately most are!
