Spring breezes blow in good health, fun in the sun and just a few shedding coats!

Dear Dog City Family:

Dogs and Dog City are back! Because of your support and loyalty, we are again full of dogs and turning away guests some days. Please call ahead (303-473-9963) for reservations if you do not have a guaranteed spot on our “standing reservations list.” If you'd like to be on this list with a regular reservation time, please let us know.

No coughs since January 9th! Spring Break was wonderful. We got to see lots of old friends (some we have known for seven years!), and we also welcomed lots of furry new ones. Thank you for being the best customers any business ever had – and especially for being so understanding when things were difficult for you and your dogs. Your trust means so much to us.

We are looking forward to the warm weather and opening up the garage doors for lots of sun and fresh air. Spring is a good time to pamper yourselves or get some projects up and running. We'd love to take care of your dogs while you take care of your “to do” list.

Have a shedding dog? Our groom salon would love to help you not have to vacuum so often. Plus it is really good for their skin to get the old hair out and to have the groomers look at literally every inch of your dog’s skin. Our groomers have often found abscesses, cuts, lice and ticks buried in fur that were undetectable by the guardians. Mats or knots behind ears or under legs can cause discomfort to the dog by pulling on the skin.

Your generous gratuities are much appreciated by the staff – they split the tips based on the hours they work during that pay period. Tips for the groomer go directly to the one who made your dog look fabulous.

Thanks for being such a wonderful part of the Dog City family!

Happy spring,

Deb Holvey

New training opportunities available for your furry friend

When I adopted my dog from the humane society, his profile said he could “benefit from some training.” Right away, I signed up for classes with Nana Will, dog trainer and behaviorist.

I was intrigued by Nana's methods of training because they were so efficient, effective and fun.  I knew right away that I wanted to learn more about how dogs learn. Luckily for me, Nana offered me an apprenticeship.

Over the course of the past year, I have attended and/or observed Nana’s workshops, private lessons and classes. I have learned so much valuable information from one of the best there is in the business.

Now that the apprenticeship is coming to an end, I am ready to start training. I will be available for private lessons, board and train for day care and hotel dogs at Dog City, and group classes, which Nana and I will teach together.

Some of the classes we teach are beginners, advanced beginners, emergency recall and tricks. I welcome you to explore the joys of training your dogs with us. There is no better way to strengthen your relationship with your dog than through teaching them love, respect, trust….and tricks!

Please call me at Dog City (303-473-9963) for additional information. I look forward to working with you!

Sincerely,

Ellie Storch
